承担《水污染控制工程》、《环境微生物学》、《专业英语》等课程的教学工作。主要从事污水处理与资源化方面的研究工作。主持国家自然科学基金青年基金、广东省自然科学基金、中国博士后科学基金、广东省普通高校青年创新人才类项目、韶关市科技计划项目等科研项目。在Applied and Environmental Microbiology、Environment International、Journal of Hazardous Materials、Journal of Cleaner Production等国际主流期刊上发表论文30余篇。长期担任Bioresource Technology、Journal of Water Process Engineering、Bioprocess and Biosystems Engineering等水处理领域期刊审稿人。硕士生导师，联合指导1名硕士研究生毕业，指导在读硕士研究生2名。
